Luis is a member of the investment team at Google Ventures. In his current role, Luis has worked with entrepreneurs in the Boston, New York, and Bay Area tech communities.
Prior to joining Google Ventures full-time, Luis was an International Product Manager at YouTube, where he helped lead the successful localization of the online video service into 17 countries and more than 12 languages. He also served as a Business Product Manager for Google’s International Product Management team. In this capacity, Luis helped define and scale Google’s product localization operations, and he led the regional hiring of Google’s Product Management organization in Latin America.
Earlier in his career, Luis worked for a boutique strategy consulting firm advising senior clients across a range of consumer industries including food, beverage, and apparel.
Luis holds MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford, where he was a Finalist in the 2003 Entrepreneur’s Challenge business plan competition. He also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Google Education Fellow, and a BSE magna cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton.
