Jonathan Faerber

Jonathan is Google Ventures’ Finance Partner and has worked with the Fund since its inception. He oversees the Fund’s finance, accounting, and portfolio reporting functions and is closely involved in the investment process.

Jonathan joined Google Ventures from Google’s M&A and Strategic Investment Finance team where he was a Senior Finance Manager and the second team member. While helping that team to scale he was a Finance deal lead on an extensive number of deals. In this role, Jonathan worked cross-functionally while focusing on financial due diligence which also included guidance on deal terms and purchase agreements, purchase accounting, and overseeing finance integration. Prior to this role, Jonathan was part of Google’s Sale Finance team supporting AdSense during its early years. Before joining Google in 2004, Jonathan worked for KPMG in its Silicon Valley office in both its Audit and Transaction Services practices.

Jonathan is a CPA (inactive) in the State of California and holds a BS cum laude in business administration from Cal Poly. During Jonathan’s time at Google he has been the recipient of the 2007 Google CFO Award.
